- Hand-sculpted: polymers, metal, red dust, building fragments, varnish · glass sarcophagus
Primary form. An experiment on organisms on a terraformed Mars after a man-made catastrophe. The base is a fragment of architecture destroyed by war. Residual forms have taken hold on these ruins — relics of the systems that once made the planet habitable. The black mass is a melanised, carbon-based form of life. The red dust is an echo of the winds of the Martian desert.
Technologies that control organic biosynthesis are no longer science fiction. Genetic engineering, micro-printing of organs, advances in AI and quantum operations with billions of parameters — all of this exists today.
